Pont Neuf at night
June 18th, 2006
I just could not go away from this bridge.
Since it has been restored with new stones and it has been enhanced with a new lighting, its shape is worth a thousand photos.
The 384 “mascarons”, or “grotesques” faces decorate the corniches on both sides of the bridge.
And here are the perfect colors for Paris : dark blue from the sky at dusk and gold for the lights.

I’m glad that you couldn’t let go of the bridge’s image. I’ve returned to it each day after I discovered your blog. I’ve also told others about your site who all agree that your photos are stunning and awesome. Thanks for posting for our enjoyment!

That’s so beautiful. It looks as though the bridge is lit from within.

This is stunning Michel. I too love this bridge and the different colours/looks it gets for different events such as when the Euro was introduced.
