What is the best place for an art exhibit in Paris ? The pont des arts (bridge of arts) of course !
Till the end of june, the photographer Francis GAZEAU shows his work on this jewel box. Hurry up, there are only a few days left.
Here is my tribute to him. A photo, a little photoshop trick and the job is done.

I just could not go away from this bridge.
Since it has been restored with new stones and it has been enhanced with a new lighting, its shape is worth a thousand photos.
The 384 “mascarons”, or “grotesques” faces decorate the corniches on both sides of the bridge.
And here are the perfect colors for Paris : dark blue from the sky at dusk and gold for the lights.

The “Grand Louvre” project started in 1981 to facilitate and to enhance the access to the museum. The extension and modernization of the Louvre were entrusted to the Chinese-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei. The main construction is a pyramid, built in the middle of the “Cour Napoleon”, and designed as the main entrance.

To access the differents collections, you can walk down a magnificent staircase, made of a single piece and revolving on a turn an a half. In the middle of the spiral, an elevator can be used by disabled people to enter the museum.
