I agree, I think it's a fantastic shot, too!

I don't remember exactly the sights of 1968 (too small) but I'll always remember the sounds of the demonstrators nearby ("CRS SS, CRS SS!") as my parents were frantically trying to get out of the way before being completely caught in the mess. In '68, we used to go to school very close to Jussieu and eventually the school had to close down for almost a month because it was too dangerous getting to and from school.

I tend to agree with Elsa, though, I'm not sure this is exactly quite like May 68, yet, but is sure is showing some potential.

I think this is a wonderful picture and the b&w photo truly looks like '68. Even if Elsa thinks there´s no commonplace between the two protests, I think that both movements show the spirit of students claiming independence from the system.
Anyway, this issue aside, I really love this picture. bravo again!

Louis la Vache is glad you had les police in FRONT of you! You and Louis are about the same age, so we may not be as fast on our feet as we once were!

There is no common point between May 68 and today's events, except for the overnight occupation of the Sorbonne...

Different claims, different situations, different ways of actions, different political actions, different protestors' social background...

Unreformable French!! Once again, it's startig again, just like in 1968,
Some of the then-students are now grand parents and their grand children are taking to the street
Only difference, is was in may, now in march, kingd of improvement then!!
I wonder how it's going to finish this time?
